Now this is an interesting tourist attraction. I've got a book in my library entitled The Hour of Our Death by Philippe Aries with a pretty neat picture of one of the hallways in the Catacombs of the Capuchin Convent. I'll scan it and attach it to this post. It looks just like the hallway Phil includes a pic of, only much less tidy. It reminds me of the churches in New England where the dead are buried under the floor. One gets a sense of mortality when you sit in church above the bones of your ancestors.
The Jolly Blogger voted against the resolution offered at the PCA GA to encourage parents to withdraw their kids from the public school. Here's why.
Kushner on the recent SCOTUS ruling concerning private property, and on some good reading.
Joel thinks blog readers should be distinguished from blog commenters...he calls the commenters, "communicants." I think I am a lapsed communicant at Unknowing lately.
Mels will get you tickets to next year's World Cup...not. Ok, but she will put you up if you can find your own tickets.
SOTU counters the Dem spin machine on the '04 vote in Ohio.
Rob & Kara have company.
Bet on popular culture.
I concur with JB on the school resolution. I would have voted against the resolution for exactly the same reasons. I do wonder, however, what would result from a mass exodus from the public schools.
